Eileen Mayhew is a portrait painter in the classical realist tradition with over two decades of professional experience in painting portraits in the mediums of oil, pastel and charcoal. She has been commissioned to paint people from all walks of life, men women and children, as well as a wide variety of animal portraits. Although her paintings can be lively and colorful, they can represent formality when appropriate, Each subject is portrayed with a personal touch. Her portraits are done form life and /or photographs taken by the artist, except in the case of gift portraits of posthumous portraits. Precious family heirloom photographs can also be translated into a lasting painting.
