Carol Guidi accepts commissions for Executive Portraiture and replicas of the Old Masters.  Her goal as a professional artist, is to produce museum quality paintings that will last as long as the Old Masters. 

Carol uses only the finest ingredients and materials:

• Belgian linen canvas

• wooden panels

• resin medium

• marble dust gesso

• the finest professional oil paints

She uses techniques used by the many great masters:

• underpainting

• Glazes

This is a painting in the underpainting stage on the left. Carol uses Verdaccio or gray green oil color to establish the values of the painting first then applies the color over the established values.  This is a practice used  by the Old Masters.  The impeccable attention to detail is evident in the final work of art on the right.
